    • Total Score of Rank 1 University = 82.28
    • Total Score of Rank 14 University = 57.23
    • Total Score of Rank 25 University = 49.91
    • Total Score of Rank 50 University = 44.70
    • Total Score of Rank 75 University = 40.42
    • The Score of Rank 100 University = 38.45
    • This indicates that the climb for the Universities towards the Top 50 Ranks is steep and the difficulty only increases further as it moves to Top 10.

The above picture clearly indicates that the scores of the Top 100 Universities can be grouped into 5 major parts. Rank 1 stands tall and alone. Then comes the group of Universities ranked between 2-14, followed by Universities Ranked between 15-26.

This only indicates that the scores jump rapidly at every group, which means that the climb towards the top of the Ranks becomes more difficult at every stage.

The above picture indicates the TOP 100 Ranks for each Area of the NIRF Rank (TLR, RPC, GO, OI & PR).

If you see the score of RPC, it varies from 1.62 for 100th Rank to 89.24 for the 1st Rank. The Gap is very large. Such a large gap is not seen for other areas apart from Perception.

Since Perception is only 10% weightage, it won’t affect the overall score by too much, but RPC (Research) is 30% weightage and it will affect your overall score by a large manner.

Hence, in order to improve their ranks, Universities need to focus more on Research Output.
