    Faculty-to-Student Ratio (FSR) Faculty-to-Student Ratio (FSR) is an important metric that indicates how much attention a student is going to get inside the Institution, which will directly impact the Learning of the student. FSR Score looks at the Number of Regular Faculty available in the Institution and is measured against the Total Students. Total Students is calculated as a Sum of Total Approved Intake of the Institution (Across all UG & PG Programs) and Total Enrolled students in the PhD Program (Research Scholars).     A BIG CHURN NIRF2018 Rankings saw a huge churn in the Top 100 List of Institutions across Categories. I am giving a macro-view on just 3 categories (Universities, Engineering College & Management Schools) to give you a perspective of the Churn that I am indicating. UNIVERSITY Nearly Two-third ratio of the Top 100 Universities (63 in number) are Public which are either funded by Central or State Government. The balance 37 are Private Universities.     Background: NIRF stands for National Institutional Ranking Framework, which was created by a Core group of Academic Experts setup by Ministry of Human Resources Department (MHRD) in the year 2015. This Core Committee identified the broad parameters to be used for evaluating and Ranking the Higher Educational Institutions (HEI’s).
